About the Program:

It is impossible to predict the future. Change is discontinuous and unpredictable and planning for nonprofits and service organizations must reflect this. The needs of your constituent groups will always change and need to be modified. Planning now involves the identification of innovative ideas and trends as they occur and to quickly mobilize resources needed to capitalize on them.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define how strategic planning evolves and the inherent benefits to executive leadership, board members and staff.
  • Evaluate sample processes and components for conducting a strategic planning event and/or process and avoid common pitfalls associated with the endeavors.
  • Apply practical steps to implement the strategic plan once completed and set key actions into motion.
